Every weekend I usually post a video clip of a knowledgeable marketer or copywriter to switch up the regular routine of written blog posts.
Today I still want to share a video clip, but not of a well respected Internet Marketer or copywriter.
No, this guy is world famous for being a daredevil billionaire. But he has some extremely intriguing personality traits that are worth talking about.
The person I’m talking about is the one and only Richard Branson, founder and CEO of the Virgin brand.
Here are a few of the interesting points about Branson and this interview:
* Branson is dyslexic and was an extremely poor student
* His headmaster once told him that when he grew up, he would either be in jail or be a millionaire
* His first ventures, a student paper, and even his music label, were created not because of Branson’s keen business mind. They were born out of passion. The paper was created to get his generation’s voice heard in the 60’s, and the record label because he believed in the music of a particular band who approached him
* He has been fished out of the sea by helicopters 6 times in his life, due to his passionate, “push it to the limit” type of lifestyle
* He considers himself lucky
There is a lot more to Richard Branson’s story, obviously.
But this short interview clip gives an engaging, human, and wonderfully simple side of one of the world’s richest and most public figures.
