It truly was a Super Tuesday…
But unlike the world of politics, the Internet Marketing community is filled with many down to earth people out to help one another.
I experienced that firsthand as I researched the best methods to generate traffic through Article Marketing.
Here’s what this is all about:
THE SCENARIO
A couple of nights I commented on the blogs of 4 Internet Marketers who I respect immensely.
There are other guys out there who I am impressed with too, but these 4 had posted exceptionally helpful entries about Article Marketing.
So I asked all of them a question, as I gear up to take massive action for generating traffic to my new blog, and to test my results for you to see, in real time.
And I wanted to hit that delicate balance of researching the topic as best as I could, while not letting over-preparation get in the way of taking action.
Action takers will understand what I’m talking about.
Here’s the question I posted.
THE QUESTION
“Hi (Internet Marketer Name),
I have a question for you about Article Marketing through Artemis Pro.
How often do you submit articles pointing to your blog or sales pages? What have you found has been most effective: Every day? Every other day? Every week?
Just curious about your frequency since your blog seems to be doing very well.

I basically asked this same question to all 4 of the gentlemen to gauge all 4 of their opinions.
And I was dead serious about the quality of the content they put up on their blogs.
These are blogs that I read every time a new post pops up (and so should you if you are serious about success). And I learn a lot every time.
All 4 of these Internet Marketers are experienced, have their blogs, their own lists, and their own excellent information products.
Basically, they are doers - Action Takers.
They have already been through what I need to go through in terms of ratcheting up my traffic. Plus they know what to look for and what to watch out for.
So…
THE LESSON
Don’t be afraid to ask others for help.
What’s the worst that can happen? They don’t answer you? They send back nasty replies?
Then you have gained nothing, but you have lost nothing. Big deal. You’re back to where you started.
What’s the best that can happen?

THE EXPERT ANSWERS
So I’ve learned (through the archives of the very blogs that I am about to introduce you to) that links are king in Internet Marketing, and that the correct way to display these answer is not to cut and paste them here on my blog, but to link BACK to them.
So I’ll do that now.
First of all, I was happy to see that they all replied very quickly.
But the thing that impressed me most was that the answers were not one sentence, cut and dry, ivory tower style responses.
They were varied, thoughtful, and some went way above what I expected.

Robert even devoted an entire post to my question, and said that had I left my URL he would have linked to my site.
(I don’t know if he knows this, but it was his step by step information product on WordPress blog creation that made it possible for you to even read these words.

And to be honest, I didn’t leave my URL on any of the blogs because I wanted to get my subscription box up before linking.)
Kenton Newby also wrote a very detailed and insightful reply to get me fired up.
Jim and Fred wrote less, but had excellent insights as well, which I will remember during the course of this traffic test.
What did they reply? Well, let me ask you a question…

THE TEST
Here’s what’s happening.
For the next 90 days I am going to write 1-2 articles a week and submit them through Artemis Pro.
I will keep track of how big my external list gets, and you will see my traffic results in real time.
But I will try and get a head start by purchasing Charlie Page’s Ezine Editor’s list so my external list is larger and more effective.
At the same time I will build my ezine editor and publisher list using some of the products created by some of the aforementioned experts, and some others that will be mentioned and linked to in upcoming posts.
If I run into ISP problems (and I believe I will) I am all over Jim Sansi’s article marketing information product correcting that issue.
As I begin to layer in the different traffic generating procedures I learn about (Blog Carnivals is next) I will add them into the experiment.
The goal is to see how quickly I can generate a good, sustainable flow of traffic to this blog within 3 short months. If I can do it, anybody can. I believe that there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome with a little effort and determination. I mean look at this blog. The Alexa ranking is in the 4 millions, and I don’t have a single person on my list.
Yet.
In short, I’m taking MASSIVE ACTION.
