If you didn’t already know, article marketing is widely considered the most effective and COST effective (its free!) method of generating targeted traffic to your site.
If you’ve been following this blog at all you know I’ve been chronicling my journey to getting the best, most effective system in place to harness article marketing’s enormous profit potential.
But here is a different way to think about it.
From personal experience, article marketing can be compared to cooking.
Yeah, cooking.
Why?
Because there is some prep time involved.
Even the best recipe has to have the best ingredients, plus prep time in order for the cooking process to go smoothly.
Just like in the cooking shows, you don’t see the grueling effort of the sous-chefs chopping the veggies, measuring spices, and getting everything camera ready.
You just see the star of the show throwing stuff together and creating a beautiful dish.
Article marketing is kind of like that.
There are certain essential ingredients that you NEED, and there is necessary preparation that you must go through in order to create a tasty dish.
It’s not a DIFFICULT process, but like anything that’s worth conquering, it takes some concentrated effort and time.
Again, I’ve posted some of my challenges and victories in past entries.
But probably the most time consuming part of article marketing is finding a list of ezine editors and publishers who are willing to accept your articles.
I was lucky enough to get a copy of Robert Phillips’ excellent How to Build a Big Ezine List course, which shaved hours off my learning curve.
But the bottom line is, you, or someone you hire still has to DO the work.
And when you think about it, the work needed to SUBMIT the article is the same whether you have a list of 10 or 10,000.
It’s the PREP work of BUILDING your list which is the hard part.
I remember reading somewhere on his blog, when someone asked him how he built his list — Robert said something to the effect that he bought some lists, found his own, traded for some, bartered, scrapped, and basically did whatever he could do grow his list.
There aren’t many people who are willing to share their list with you.
(By the way, Robert is one Internet Marketer who occasionally will, if you can catch him during one of his special offers)
Because it’s their cash cow. It represents their blood, sweet, and tears. It represents the nights not going out with their friends, time spent away from their families, and hours of staring at a monitor through bloodshot eyes.
So when opportunities DO come around to build your list, you should snatch them up without a second thought.
Because usually, those windows of opportunity are far and few between, and they tend to close quickly.
Here’s the deal:
James Brausch is having a 24 hour special on selling a list of 1000 ezine publishers. It started the morning of March 20, so I’m not sure exactly when it ends.
But what can 1000 extra ezine publishers do for your business?
(By the way, the list is made up of publishers only in the Internet Marketing space. So if that doesn’t apply to you, sorry)
I don’t know, you tell me.
Do you even HAVE a list? If not, then 1000 names will do A LOT.
But wait, even if you have a list of 5000 names, another 1000 will just bring that much more targeted traffic and make your article marketing efforts that much more effective.
Not only do these list building opportunities not come around too often, the 1000 ezine publisher list costs only $35 during this 24 hour special.
That’s peanuts in exchange for what you’re getting.
Afterwards, the price jumps up to $100. Still a steal in my mind.
Okay, that’s enough talk about cooking, article marketing, and traffic.
I’m going to get my 1000 names now. I hope I’ve convinced you to do the same.
